Hard Candy Cream Shadow Stick

Purchased Product: Hard Candy Cream Shadow Stick $6.00

Compared Product: MAC Greasepaint Stick $16.00

I picked up this stick on a shopping trip at wal-mart. I was a little skeptical because it being a creamy product. I wrote before I have a love-hate relationship with creamier products on my eye. I picked up the shade that was close to robin's egg blue. The stick is very creamy and a little tacky, so I was a little skepitical about how it was going to wear. I put the stick all over my eye and set it with a little shadow of the same color. I would recommend using a synthetic brush to apply it and not directly out of the stick. You can control how much you put on. I was very surprised that it lasted!!! Very minimal creasing, but for the most part lasted until I took it off at night. I'm excited! I'm going to buy some other colors and give them a try!!

HardCandy Eyeshadow (Sold at Walmart) $6.00

Hard Candy Eyeshadow at Walmart $6.00

I was excited to see this product at Walmart. I wasn't quite sure what had happened to it because it was pulled out of department stores. I used the eyeshadow when it was at department stores and really like it had great pigments. When I found it at Walmart one day I was glad to see it,so I pick a pack of the shadow up. I was very disappointed after I used it because it didn't have as much pigment as it use to:( The colors were alot sheerer and hardly no pigment. The colors weren't true to color either. Disappointing. They have a few other products I may try to keep a little hope alive that maybe the brand is the same.

Jergens Natural Glow Foam

Purchased Product: Jergans Natural Glow Foam $9.00

I keep seeing the Jergens Natural glow line on T.V. of this beautifully tanned woman. Well, I had to give it a shot. It so Tan-talizing on T.V. Today is the second day in a row that I have tried it. So, far so good. It doesn't offer that much color because it is suppose to be a tanner and moisturizer together which is good for a beginner using a self-tanner. Note to self a little foam goes along way! The product seems to spread evenly and it absorbs pretty fast without leaving you sticky. I don't necessarily feel moisturized with it, but I don't think it's suppose a heavy duty moisturizer. The color the first day was very light..I will see if it darkens up a little more today. I would recommend it for someone who is beginning with a self-tanner or who wants to do something gradual. If you want immediate color I would recommend a regular self tanner. A great one to try is Bath&Body Works tinted self tanner. Gives you immediate color and is around $15.00..Not too bad. I'll keep experimenting to find the perfect product that makes me look Tan-alizing!!

E.L.F Cosmetics

$1.00-$3.00

I was really skeptical about this cosmetic brand..one being that majority of the products are $1.00. I started ordering quite a few pieces online and found out that I really like them. I mean for $1.00 you can't really go wrong! Some of the products I really like: Liquid lipstick,Hypershine lip shine, smoothing concealer, a few of the brushes are pretty decent as well. Another thing I found I know it's hard to look at colors online, but I did find that they sell it at a few target stores, so you can see it in person! Check it out and with majority of the products under $3.00 you can't beat it!!!

LASHES*LASHES*LASHES

Purchased Product: Demi Wispies Lashes Ardell $4.00
Compared Product: MAC #4,#36 Lashes $13.00

Ok, this was a complete surprise when I bought these lashes. I bought them in a pinch and being a sort of lash snob and primarily only wearing MAC's eyelashes I didn't think I would like these. It turns out that I LOVE THEM!! They are the best and you cannot beat the price at all!!! A nice semi-natural lash adds alot of fullness without being too much. I would compare these lashes to MAC's #4's or #36's which are my good ole stand by's when I want to spend a little extra money. Definitely try these out! They are beautiful on!!

N.Y.C Extreme Lip Glider Lip Gloss

Purchased Product: N.Y.C. Extreme Lip Glider Lip Gloss $3.50
Compared To: MAC LipGlass $14.00

I had high hopes for this product. Thinking if this was a really great lip gloss I could save a ton of money. Working for MAC so long I am pretty much addicted to lip glass. I like everything about it the taste, the feeling, colors. I am always on a quest to find something that compares. This N.Y.C lip gloss has really nice colors, but kind of misleading. I bought the color Carnegie Melon a nice peachy pink color. Put it on my lips and was like "is that it". Very pale on compared to what it looked like in the tube. Kind of a disappointment. The feeling of it is ok, but I prefer something with alittle more substance. The flavor is good a little fruity. Would I recommend it..probably not. I'm going to stick to lipglass for now until I find something new.

Cover Girl Smoky Shadow Blast

Purchased Product:Cover Girl Smoky Shadow Blast $8.00
Compared Product: MAC Shadesticks $20.00

I have a love hate relationship with creamy eyeshadow products. I want to love them so much, but sometimes can't stand them once I have them on my eye and wear them. I have all of a sudden got on a kick of wanting a creamy eyeshadow stick. Maybe because I see Drew Barrymore wearing the covergirl shadow blast on t.v...it makes me want it. I picked it up today in my travels. So, far I like it. If it is good enough for Drew it can be good enough for me. I tried it out so far I am digging it, but like I said I can hate it in a day. I will keep you posted on how I really like this product. So, far you can't beat the price compared to MAC. I will see how it holds up during the day.

N.Y.C Liquid Eyeliner

Purchased Product: N.Y.C Liquid Eyeliner $2.00
Compared to:Urban Decay Oil Slick Liquid Eyeliner $20.00

This product costs roughly under $2.00. How can you beat this? I picked it up today at Target. Me being a liquid liner fanatic I decided to try it. I actually really like it! I bought the pearlized black nice color kind of like a dark smokey gray with flecks of silver in it. The brush is nice thin with a pointy tip, so you can get a nice wing on the outer edge of the eye. I would recommend it for the price.
